Donation made from one who's living the life of water in Wisconsin. We have been so very fortunate compared to some of our neighbors and those down the road from us. We're still pumping water from the basement, but we're down from 5 pumps to one and it even turns on and off now instead of running full stream nonstop steady!!! : )
We can't thank you all enough for the support and lifting of spirit that comes from such thoughtful caring people as we find through this site.

It does my heart good.
Thank you.
Barb! I am so happy to see your smiling face! Our long lost dork sister!
We had a lot of publicity here in Canada about hurricane Katrina, but there was not much in the news or requests for donation about the midwest flooding. So glad to be able to help my American friends through SCS. Thanks for doing this. SCS rocks!!

Hi Barbie!!! We miss you too...nice to get updates though from Cathi! Hope all is well in the house from the flood!
Hi Beth! Good to "see" you!!! Flood is the same old stuff. Water level just does not want to drop much lower. We are down to one pump from five. Our books are okay, but the bookcases are pretty wet along the bottom, along with anything else that was in the basement. We don't have a good count on everything yet because we can't pull it up yet (boxes, etc). Water continues to bubble up but we're doing just fine. So many others that still can't get in their homes and some who never will. Very fortunate we are! Enjoy your week!
Thanks, Jenn, for checking on an update. Really amazing that dontations are still coming in....just amazing. Girls...what if SCS hits $10,000.....wowzer....I mean, we were at $7,000 something last week right? That's a big chunk'o'change!!! Now, I can't wait for the update.......
those are Saturday's totals, I don't have anything later than that unfortunately. we have to request these reports through paypal and they take some time to process. I'll try and get an update through today (Monday) posted sometime tomorrow.
Got it! Glad to know your crafts were not in the basement. I like your idea of putting a glass floor in the living room. You could put goldfish in the basement. Ultra cool decor!!!

Now THAT I'd like to see! Barbie...can we have a sleep over at your house whenever you get the glass floor with goldfish in? Too fun!
bravo.gifHi all you Dorks and PSFers and SCSers! Wow, you are all doing so, so, so good! Congrats to all of SCS for such a successful fund raiser! I am keeping my fingers crossed for $10,000 too! How exciting!bravo.gif
Don't think it will jump quite that fast in just a day.... but one can always hope.
Reminds me of an adorable handcrafted sign I saw at a shop just yesterday while at lake. It was whimiscally decorated in fun crafty colors and went something like this: "~Wish, Dream, Hope...Make It Happen!~"
Thanks Daven for the update. Boy, we're close to that $10,000 mark. No matter what the final total, I am so thankful for the people and companies who gave up their time and generously donated products for the raffle. And to Jenn and Daven for the time to set it up and keep it running, many thanks!
