I have finally "designed" my card for this swap and now is just the job of preparing all the pieces for 30 girls! I can't wait to see what everyone is coming up with!
I had a thought and I wanted to suggest it to you all and see what you think. Would anyone be interested in bringing stamps sets that we want to trade or sell on Saturday? Normal rules apply, of course, sell only retired/current only for trade. I know that I have some sets I should get rid of but I always hate to deal with the post office/postage etc. Plus there are some old sets I would love to have but hate to pay the postage! I know we are on a very limited time schedule and there really won't be alot of time for this, but I thought I would suggest it and maybe we could just bring them in our car. Any ideas? I guess we could list what we want to sell here and then do the exchange after we are done or just bring what we've got and put 'em in the corner.
If no one is interested then that's okay, but I thought I would throw it out there!
Can't wait
Stacy
When my husband passed I had to cancel my attendance to this gathering because everything was so crazy I didn't know what that weekend would be like. My sister has since booked a "diva weekend" for us and some friends to pamper me. I'm so sorry I can't make this, it sounds like you guys are going to have a great time.
I'm so bummed that I won't get to make all these cards and meet you all. I was wondering if arranged to have 30 completed cards dropped off at the beginning of the day would any of you would be willing to bring an extra completed card to swap back to me? My brother-in-law is the teen counselor at the Prairies Youth Center on base which is maybe five minutes from the deli and I'm sure he'd be willing to bring my cards and pick up for me.
Stacy, I have some current sets I bought and never use to trade. I can PM you tonight with my list and see if there's anything we want to swap.
Have fun ladies. I can't wait to meet you all at the next one.
You know, it just occurred to me that everyone can swap out their shoebox sample after the swap is over. They won't have to make an extra card/page. If everyone is ok with this plan, let me know.

I'm starting to pull things together for this swap (really looking forward to it!), and just wanted to double-check...do we need to use just SU! products? The detailed posting didn't say anything about this...
Thanks,
Debbie
Only 2 days away! Is everyone ready?? I am so psyched!!!
I still need 2 registration fees. I have made arrangements with the other two. Please let me know the status of your payment. Also, please let me know the snacks you're bringing as well.
P.S. Don't forget to make your name tag!!! There's a prize for the best one! Woohoo!!

My mother will bring my cards by sometime during the afternoon. I'm going to tell her not to make it later than 4 in case you get done earlier than expected.
It occurred to me that you might still need the samples in the box when she gets there. So if you can't give her my swaps could someone mail them to me? Lynne has my address and I can Paypal the postage to you or mail you a check or money order.
Or I could pick them up from someone in the Dayton area. I live in Huber and work at UD and I go to the Fairfield Mall a lot.
I had such a great time at the Shoebox Swap. It was so nice to put names with faces! The swaps were so pretty and the food was WAY too good. We will definitely have to do it again.
P.S. Special "thank you" to those who made hostess gifts for Jan, Mary Joyce, and I. It was so unexpected and so very thoughtful of you. We all agreed.....We love presents!
