As of right now, the color combo site is down. With my recent divorce and new financial situation I cannot afford to keep it running. I'm sorry for an inconvenience.
I am so sorry about everything changing in your life. Thanks so much for the time you did have the site up and running. It was a wonderful resource and maybe you will be in a position to do it again sometime!!
Unfortunately it's already down :( I'm about $60 shy of being able to get it back up. With the economy the way it's been lately, the donations have really been cut back (which I TOTALLY understand!) I just can't afford to foot the bill all by myself.
Laura, please let us know how much it is to run the site, and I'm sure we can all help you out with the money to pay for the sites. I think I can speak for a lot of us who love using your color site -- I even refer my customers to your site too. I will be sending in my donation soon as my new debit card arrives, hopefully in the next few days!
Laura, is the PayPal function on your site still operative? I would suspect we could get the $60 covered from loyal SCSers who use your site all the time. Please let us know.
The paypal link is still working. Just donated to keep the site running. Hopefully there are enough of us to do this every month. How much is the monthly bill for it?

I just sent a donation but the screen went a litle whacky at the end - can you possible post or PM me when you get it, or if you do not! I just did it now, 8:10 am EST. The email address is the same as my SCS screen name.
I just made a donation but I'm not sure it went through, I got a "page not found" after I went through Paypal. Laura, can you confirm you're receiving these?
I'm not sure how to do it, and I'm sure it isn;t something you want to do, but if you could set it up as a "pay" site, even with a nominal fee it should cover the cost since so many people use it. I don;t know how much you have to pay per month (or however it's billed) to maintain it but I'm sure people would understand. It's been a free resource for so long, it's just time to give a little back.

Laura, perhaps you could set something up like the Fan Gallery here. You pay a nominal fee for a years worth of access to the site. I do not know how much of a hassle that would be from a bookkeeping standpoint, but just an idea. I have just sent a donation as well.

How close is "close?"
While you may not want to, is it possible for you to add a message to the site - something like it costs "X" for the web address for the year, "X" more to go to cover costsor site will be shut down? Some like that could remind people this is neccessary, especially beyond today or this posting. We pay more for the Fan Club than you would need for this, I'm sure.

It should be fine - that's what it said when I donated as well. As someone suggested, check your email for a receipt and you'll know it went through.
So are we over or close? I also would be willing to pay a fee to keep this site up and running. Especially when the new in colors come out!
Is it only $60 for the entire year or $60 a month? Or how ever it is billed. Let us know and I am sure it would get taken care of with fees, donations or whatever.
