I just met Carol Duvall at the CHA Supershow and she's starting a new show on the worldwide web. She is planning on bringing back all our favorite crafters and some were at the show, Dee & Warren Gruenig, Mary O'Neal to name a couple. Here's the website she gave me, it's in beta form now but should be active soon:
That is great news. I love Carol, and have missed her since she left HGTV......... I am so tired of all those home improvement shows. Not everyone is into home improvement. There are some of us who enjoy crafts..........................I can hardly wait. I hope she will be on soon......... I even miss Sandy Genovese, and she grated my last nerve with her voice..LOL
That is wonderful news! I was a beta tester for the Art Unscripted DVD & it was so fun to watch. I also had the pleasure of meeting Carol at CHA while she was filming a segment for her show with Dee. She's such a charming woman. I will really enjoy watching her again! JIL
This is from the CRAFT CRITIQUE - Please read this and email to show your support for a possible NEW crafting network that we will all benifit from!!
Carol Duvall and Friends

We had the pleasure of listening to a special presentation at the CHA Supershow today- the Queen Mother of Crafts, Carol Duvall. She graced the audience with a 45-minute "Conversation with Carol" in which she shared the stories of her broadcasting career (did you know she started off doing a children's show? Really!).
Carol was signing copies of her book Paper Crafting with Carol Duvall. When Sarah Moore asked Carol to sign her arm instead of a book, she totally did it and said, "I feel like a rock star!" to which we replied, "YOU ARE!"
During Carol's tenure, she made television audiences feel competent, creative, and cared for. She was the friend you wanted to have over for coffee to show you the latest stitch, paper craft, or gift idea. And along the way, she introduced us to such craft luminaries such as Donna Kato, Lisa Pavelka, Mary O'Neil, Dee Gruenig, and Sarah Hodgeson.
Many of us (including Ms. Duvall herself) were surprised and saddened when HGTV decided to cancel the show. Similarly, many of us have asked, "How can we get Carol back?" That question seemed a moot point until today- after all, crafty television shows are all but extinct. However, her longtime producer Kelly Ehrlich is trying to pull together a new venture, with Carol as the figurehead- the iCraftNetwork.
This proposed network would show archived classic Carol Duvall shows, as well as fresh content generated by new craft up-and-comers. While the site hasn't been developed yet, Kelly shares that the first step is raising capital. And for that, she needs interest.
That's where the craft community comes in. Carol and Kelly are asking each and every fan to take a moment to drop a line via e-mail to show your emotional support. Share a favorite episode, guest or project, or just let Carol and Kelly know that you miss YOUR "Conversation with Carol." Send emails to: [email protected]
It is good to know I am not the only one missing Carol. I do hope this new venture would include new shows, not only reruns ( I think I have some of them memorized!!) I a, able to get a daily show on our satellite, on BYU tv - mostly scrapbooking but some carry over techniques for cards. I think today it just changed to 4 pm MST.
wow! That is great news. I hope that I can see her on TV in MN. She used to be on a local TV show before she became so well known. The hosts of the show now produce shows on HGTV. It doesn't make sense.
Sure wished those!!! networks would put the craft shows back on!!! Have to hunt for them...find some on PBS and only 1-3x / week ... or as someone pointed out ...on BYU which just switched times (inconvenient to me!!) and on RFD....
DYI used to have quite a few...now just about all have shows dealing with real estate or home improvement! I feel that there are MANY of us interested in and do crafts! So why don't we have programs on the networks? Sorry...just venting! MaggieSt
The big Crafts and Hobby Trade Show (CHA) is currently in full swing in Anaheim and we are learning a bunch! This trade show, the largest in America, introduces new craft products to the market place. What they introduce is what you and we will find as new on web sites, in stores and in catalogs. Here is what we notice happening and for Posh it is all good news.
First, as per the postcard shown above that was given to attendees at the CHA show, the icon for crafts, Carol Duvall, may be coming back. There would be all new videos for crafting, including stamping. Her former regular guests such as Dee have been asked to join her and there will be new talents too. Dee did 70 segments with Carol. The intent will be to show all the wonderful new things that can be done with crafts. It will be on the World Wide Web instead of television, so that everyone will be able to get it anytime they wish and watch until they have mastered a technique. For information from the lead producer putting the effort together, please click here http://www.clubposh.com/ and read under the headline, Posh Impressions supports a return of Carol Duvall. There is also a 30 second one question fun poll about it you can take on the same page. We hope that major sponsors will be found to make it happen. They are not encouraging you to support it financially, but support it in spirit by saying you would want the show by emailing this address: [email protected] . Then when big sponsors can be shown the support, it could likely happen. We hope you will send them the email of your anticipation and support right away. By the way, Carol is looking great!
Third, Stamp A Mania and Sunday International are cooperating beautifully to finalize the smooth transition of Posh to SAM. That's the way the world (and business) should work. A sincere thank you to both companies.
Fourth, Stamp A Mania will make Posh and SAM stamps on genuine EZ Mount, the best system for ink acceptance with deep, deep etching, made so well that they carry a lifetime guarantee. This is part of the cooperation mentioned above.
Fifth, Many new stamps from the best companies like Hero Arts shown at CHA were.........
a. On unmounted rubber with a cushion. That describes EZ Mount
b. Clear stamps were not shown nearly as much so they seem to be diminishing in use.
c. Bold, more solid images are becoming more prevalent. Trend setting companies like Hero Arts and Stampendous are featuring them.
d. Full sized stamps are returning that can robustly complete a card and any widget to provide pure, bright colors. We didn't find many small stamps being introduced. Mark Stansell, owner of SAM, was looking with us.
So, the Posh look is emerging on a wider scale!!

Oh I know!!! I never know when they're on BYU-TV!!! (And I can't ever get control of the remote to the TV with the on-line guide *rolls eyes*)
We have Dish Network TV (satellite) and Scrapbook Memories is on BYU at 4 a.m. and 4 p.m. MST. I set the DVR for 4 a.m. and watch when it is convenient.
Sandy Genovese (OLD reruns) seems to be on once a week with her scrapbooking show - not even sure when but it is in the early morning hours as well. (I used to say we had no need for a DVR but now that we have it I use it a lot - since I can just tell it to record "scrapbooking" and it is automatic LOL. (Automatic is great for me.)
