Hi Ladies....I am hoping that some of you will have some names of soldiers that are in other areas than Iraq that I can send some cards, soaps, lotions, etc to.
Most of the names I have will be coming home by the end of this month.
If you can hang on until tomorrow night, I may be able to get you a contact overseas. A local gal is on active duty and one of the Cub Scout moms has her information. We just sent a bunch of packages over last month from our pack. If you still need names, I can try and email her now.

Yes...I would love to know if the person will be there for a few more months and any one that you know is serving. I only have ones that are due back in a few weeks.
I appreciate your assistance.
blessings.
Oh Holly that would be great...I really like knowing how long they are there so I can send more than one box. I will watch for the address.
blessings.

I haven't actually joined yet but I am in the process of getting my first box of cards ready to ship to them. I have received their emails and also joined them on facebook and also feel that this is a very worthy cause.
There are over 42,000 deployed military members around the world, you can go to anysoldier.com to sign up to send cards with letters and/or care packages. The most requested item letters. SO easy to add a few words of encouragent to those so far from home.
Let me know how it works out or if you need help navigating their page.
Best to you in all you do!

Hello I am new here and send packages to the troops all the time. I use AnySoldier.com to get my names because it tells you exactly what they are asking for and how long they will be deployed for. A lot of them also give you updates as well so it's a great site.
I also work on an Air Force Base so I often know someone personally that is deployed. I would be more than happy to help anyone looking to send packages.
I own a non-profit organization called Cards For Soldiers. Since 2006 we have been sending handmade blank cards to deployed troops for them to use to send cards back home to their loved ones. We sent over 32000 in 2011. I run this organization alone out of my basement in my free time and I can tell you it's very well received by the soldiers.
Anything that you can send them is always appreciated and well received. They have sent the most heartfelt notes to some of the women who have sent cards to my organization as well as to me. It's been a very rewarding way of showing my support to them while they are serving.
