I was so excited to hear this news! I went this past week to Big Lots and it was closed! They have been closing all the Big Lots! There is one left in a neighboring town, but I haven't had a chance to go in that direction! Times are tough.
My BL didn't have ANY of the CB goodies :( And I REALLY wanted some of the Disney ones! The Christmas sleigh one & the Pirate ship I was hoping to get!

I got on the highway and went to another Big Lots. DH was watching all the car racing so I told him I was on a mission!
This one had only about 6 various Cuttlebug items left. I was not interested in any of them.
I didnt see the Cricut cartridges so I asked at the service counter and they had LOTS!! I got Stretch Your Imagination. It looks FABULOUS! They had the Paper Dolls, a couple Fonts, Mickey Mouse, Patriotic and I cant remember the rest. The gal at the counter said they had a couple of boxes of each one.
They also have some nice paper packs.
This one cartridge was worth the drive for me and it was a nice drive to boot!
I give up. Had gone last weekend and had not found any at 3 BLs. Went back to one yesterday because ad came out. Girl was of no help. She looked in the 2 day ad and says that the Cuttlebug and dies are not on sale. Told her they are in the 5/29 to 6/5 weekly ad. She told me they only have one ad going and that is the 2 day ad. I saw the Cuttlebug behind her for $50 and it also said dies for $2 just like the ad. Told her she does have the Cuttlebug on sale because it is in the week long ad and it is behind her. She told me I should have brought the ad. It was like no talking to her. I just left.
Went to another BL this morning and they had taken down the sign and was laying on the counter by the register. Lady said the last 2 sold first thing this morning. I guess I should have gone to this BL yesterday instead of wasting my time with this girl at the other store.
At this point I give up. I'm happy for those of you found great deals. i guess it was just not meant to be for me.
i know the manager of my most local BL. they had nothing. she told me the word from HQs is once the stuff comes in the backdoor-get it on the floor. even if it is before the sale starts!
On vacation in Las Vegas for 6 days (just got home last night) and driving around in our rental car I spotted a Big Lots, and yes, I made Mr. Wonderful pull in and let me look for the Cuttlebug stuff! I got 2 more of the die/folder sets, the Valentine and Holiday Disney ones. He has ceased to show any surprise when I insist on stopping at Big Lots and Tuesday Morning stores when we're away from home.
(and he was VERY well behaved in Viva Las Vegas Stamps- but then, he knew I was going to be a while in there! Even the proprietor commented on his patience, as opposed to "most husbands". Of course, ever since he announced we were going to Vegas, I've been chanting "OOOOOh, the stamp store, the stamp store", lol!)

omg! Mr. Wonderful is a trooper. I don't think my DH would do that, he doesn't do it for quilting stores so I'd doubt he'd do it for the BIG stamp store in Vegas. I would do it for sure and go alone if I have too.
For those looking for the Disney Cuttlebug stuff and having little luck at BL, try Oh My Crafts online sale. They're a little higher, but it's beats driving around, not finding anything! I had no luck at BL either!

You have such a sweet & thoughtful husband to go craft shopping for you..on his own free will! My husband will go in the store with me but he's never gone on his own. Great guy!
Thanks! I ended up looking on the Big Lots website at the store locater and I discovered that there is another Big Lots near me and so my husband and I went for a ride to see what that store had.
I ended up getting three more Cuttlebug items- Snow Fun, Flower Pot, and Disney Halloween. The only other one that I thought I would use and I couldn't find is the pumpkin die, but I'll check back next time I'm in the area.
I just bought a bunch of folders at http://buy4less.webstore.com for $3 each and thought I got a great deal! I always seem right after I buy something there is a great deal on it somewhere else. Why can;t I catch the deals???

That IS a good deal! Way to go! It sounds like a lot of the Big Lots are already out of these Cuttlebug bargains, or people are driving all over town to hit many Big Lots and only get a few items. So don't feel bad, you DID get a really good deal; and you saved gas! : )

This is true, you did save some gas money. My husband went to two Big Lots and I went to another one (although they were all pretty close to me). The one store had lots and the other two didn't have as much. $3 each is still a great deal.
When I have the car, I make plans to stop at Big Lots in Leesburg, FL. Did you all know that they have a BUZZ Club?? It's a DISCOUNT card for frequent shoppers!! Go to their website, sign up for the email notices & it's listed there. You sign up & your "membership" card gets printed in the store of your choice - you need to pick it up.
Ohhhhh ladies.....I stopped by my Big Lots AGAIN last night just to see if maybe they got some more CB items in since a few weeks ago. No new CB stuff, BUT......tons and tons of Martha Stewart items. I got 7 yards of her linen ribbon for $1, hard cover mini scrapbooks for $1, large acrylic stamps sets for $1, her pigment ink stamp pads for $1,
tons of tags and embellies for $1. I could not believe it......I bought tons and cannot wait to hit another Big Lots this week.
I went to Big Lots today and found that they had stocked up on more stuff. They had a limited amount of MS stuff, but lots more of Creative Memories stuff. I spent only $20 but my bag was full.

I live in NW Houston and the BL store near me NEVER has any papercrafting supplies worth having. They have a part of an aisle and it is trashed all the time, the whole store is that way though. I have never seen any CB or any name brand supplies there. Y'all must have a better one!!
I always hit the BL's whenever we go out of town.....always curious to see if I can find something new. We are going to St. Louis for 4th of July.....I know of at least 2 in that area.....Wooooo Hoooo!!
OK, this information about Big Lots is very dangerous. I went there again, walked over to the display and it was gone. So I thought they discontinued everything. But no, no no. They moved it to a larger area with even more stuff. Still not much MS, but lots of Making Memories and Color Bok. I picked up more bling, paper flowers, wire and cute brads. They had a paper crafting pack worth $20 for 2 dollars (full of paper, stickers, buttons and fabric flowers. Finally, they had card stock. Not the greatest selection but it was a pack of 25 sheets for $5. I picked up a pack of dog and cat designs for an animal lover friend.
So all you Central Ma. people, get over to your local BL

Hey ladies...I don't mean to be off topic here, but since we were talking about some great finds, I thought I should let you all know that I went to my local Wal-mart yesterday and they had lots of MS stuff on clearance and the scrapbooking isle was nearly empty. I hope they are not doing away with their craft section.
I did go to my local Big Lots again and their cuttlebug stuff was almost gone. There was nothing that I wanted. I'm still looking for the pumpkin die if I can find it (and any other embossing folders that I don't have). I found the music one and I should have bought it and I didn't, so if I see that one again I might pick it up.

Oh, yeah! I saw one at my local Big Lots too- it was locked in a display case (up front by the registers). I already have a cricut so I asked if they had any cartridges, but they didn't.
