My daughter Liz will be 40 on 12/20. I remember every moment of that day and the days after. We brought her home Christmas Eve. She has brought me so much love and joy, although I really struggled with being a first time Mom, at least in my opinion. It was a terrible winter, one of the coldest on record, so much snow. We were very housebound. She continues to give me love and joy. She is a super wife, mother, runner, cook, sister, niece and mental health counselor
The inside of card says 'live life in full bloom.' I loved CeeCee's video, Linda, thank you! I only had time for one card as Liz and my grands are coming tonight so I can take them, along with my daughter in law Leah to Nutcracker. I have been wanting to have 'experiences' with my grands instead of spending money on toys etc. They will get a few small things like books, for Christmas but the ballet is their main gift, of which I keep reminding them.
Also for the MIX-love! and F4A-joy! Perfect for me today. I added a little chunky white glitter on the flowers since it was snowing on the day she was born. And it never stopped the whole month of January 1982!

Love your loose water color flowers, your daughter will be very happy with this card, I was told people born in December during rough Winter weather, are the strongest people on earth!! I hope this is true, I was born in January, but we've got 20 years between us, I'll be 60 and your daughter 40, Happy Birthday to her
Oh, wow! I love how you combined challenges on this! What a lovely and joy-filled card! Your flowers are stunning! I love the beautiful petals you achieved. What a sweet tribute to your daughter, thanks for sharing the birthday story with us!

Beautiful card and lovely story! I think giving experiences rather than things will mean more to your grandchildren later in life as they begin to appreciate the value of time together with family. The Nutcracker is such a wonderful ballet.
Love the soft watercolor flowers.
